I'm an anxiety induced, hypochondriac-workaholic who is fun loving, sentimental and an all round good guy. These are my thoughts. |
If this wasn’t a film it could definitely be the best music video ever made. A film about rogue musicians who terrorise a city using music!? If it’s half as addictive as the trailer we could be in for a real treat. As usual hit the picture above for a link to the trailer
Yet again another incredible looking animation from the Disney/Pixar folks. If the film is half as funny as the teaser clip then this will easily be a really big hit come Summer. Click the photo for a link to the trailers.
The new documentary from that Spurlock guy gives an incredible insight into a world few of us ever really get the chance to experience. With special guest interviews from some of Geek-doms finest this looks set to be another top hit from the guy who brought us ‘Super Size Me’ and ‘Where on earth is Osama Bin Laden’
Ok so this is the trailer for Dragons Dogma. I heard about this as the game that will include the Resident Evil 6 demo as a means of shifting copies of what is meant to be a not so great game. But if it looks anything like this trailer from E3 last year I think we will be in for a pleasant surprise. We’ve heard this story before: Dragons, end of the world, a chosen one who must fight said dragons etc etc. These are hardly original concepts anyway. What looks great is the scope of the game, the way it looks, the inclusion of different types of mythological enemies like Hydras, Golems and fecking Griffins and more promises of yet another expanded, open, massive world to explore. It has all the whisperings of Capcoms other recent “critical failures” but for me it ticks all the right boxes. Now all I have to do is find another spare 80+ hours. I know I left them somewhere…
Another incredible looking animation form the studio that brought us ‘Coraline’. Its due for an August 2012 release so we have a bit of a wait on our hands but all signs are pointing to this being another award nominating offering from the relatively new studio

This is just great, and what a fight!

(CNN) — Could a floating dome that can house up to 10,000 people be a model for future living?
Russian architect Alexander Remizov thinks so — and his prototype design, called “The Ark,” bears more than a passing resemblance to the classic children’s toy, the Slinky.
Remizov believes his Ark, designed to be constructed from timber, steel and high-strength ETFE plastic, could be adapted for all kinds of environments and put to a number of different uses, including emergency housing — its prefabricated structure should allow it to be constructed quickly — and hotels. He’s even suggested a variation with a honeycomb-style hull that can float.
After completing a Masters degree looking at non-polluting settlements, Remizov decided to pursue that theme with his architecture firm Remistudio and design a modern building that would be in harmony with the environment.
He says that he took a holistic approach to the problems of providing power to The Ark, working with colleague Lev Britvin on energy solutions to keep it in balance with the environment.
A wind power generator that runs through the center of the building would provide power while the outer surface would be covered with transparent solar panels. If the Ark was built on water, as Remizov suggests, he says it could also utilize thermal water energy.
“The form of a dome promotes the formation of turbulences of air, strengthening the work of wind generators,” wrote Remizov in an email to CNN.
“Inside the building, the dome form promotes accumulation of warm air in the top part of a building,” he continued. “This heat will be transformed to other kinds of energy and collects also in thermal accumulators.”
This isn’t math…
…but I thought you guys would like it!!
Is it possible that cracks are already starting to show on the forthcoming Uncharted movie development. According to IGN.com a hitch has developed in the form of David O. Russell putting Uncharted on the back burner in favour of “an adaptation of Matthew Quick’s novel The Silver Linings Playbook”. With Sony seemingly wanting Uncharted to be a “high priority” project may they be forced to look elsewhere for a new helmer to take the reins? Maybe give us a new lead? A boy can hope. So I had a strange experience earlier today. Walking around listening to ‘BBC Radio 4’s Comedy Night’ podcast humming in my ears I suddenly became aware that everyone in the snack section of the Tesco was looking at me like I was a proper loon. This might have been to do with the fact that I was laughing uncontrollably every few moments and obviously everyone around me had no clue what was going on. I look forward to getting taken into a secure facility tomorrow by mistake when people see me guffawing to the Adam and Joe show.
